Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan

"Tiny Cooper is not the worlds gayest person, and he is not the worlds largest person, but I believe he may be the worlds largest person who is really, really gay, and also the worlds gayest person who is really, really large" - Will Grayson

Will Grayson, Will Grayson is the story of two very different guys with two very big things in common...their names and the ever flamboyant Tiny Cooper. Their paths cross one fateful night after they both endure a series of unfortunate events bringing them to the same location, at the same time. Their chance encounter would probably have been a once off had it not been for Will #1's best friend, the very large and very gay Tiny. To Will #2's surprise, Tiny quickly becomes the apple of his eye.

Throughout the book both of these guys learn a great deal about life, love, friendship and appreciation from the wise and love-able bundle of joy that is Tiny Cooper. The characters and their progression throughout this novel are incredible. Its stand out feature has to be its razor sharp dialogue which is absolutely killer. I loved this book, it's witty, insightful and heartwarmingly hilarious. Historical side note, it was also the first LGBT themed YA novel to make it onto the New York Times young adult best seller list.

"No. No no no. I don't want to screw you. I just love you. When did who you want to screw become the whole game? Since when is the person you want to screw the only person you get to love? It's so stupid, Tiny! I mean, Jesus, who even gives a fuck about sex?! People act like it's the most important thing humans do, but come on. How can our sentient fucking lives revolve around something slugs can do? I mean, who you want to screw and whether you screw them? Those are important questions, I guess. But they're not that important. Who would you die for? Who would you wake up at 5.45 in the morning for even though you don't even know why he needs you? Whose drunken nose would you pick?" - Will Grayson
